Aye, them rooms was clean and real spacious. Loved that underground parking, made it easy to get in and out. Man, the breakfast had some nice options, even gluten-free for the fam. They had my kids eatin' for free, too! Just wish the showers were a bit better—coulda used some upgrades, ya feel me?

The Mercure Bordeaux Château Chartrons Hotel impressed with its clean and comfortable rooms. The fitness center was a nice bonus, providing an opportunity to stay active during the stay. Breakfast offered a variety of options, although I found the scrambled eggs too bland, as they were made from powdered mix. However, the coffee was top-notch. I appreciated the location, as it was cozy, and the wine shops nearby were convenient for picking up Bordeaux wines. Unfortunately, the check-in process was frustrating. I had to wait more than 15 minutes despite several staff members available. The heating in the room was excessively high, making it uncomfortable at times. Also, room amenities were lacking. I expected more than just a single bottle of 3-in-1 soap in the bathroom. Overall, the hotel has potential with its amenities, but certain aspects, especially maintenance, could benefit from improvement.

Breakfast offered a solid spread, though the options could elevate the experience. Loved the vibe around the bar area. it felt like the heart of the hotel.

Staff were a bit stuck up, serving with an air of entitlement. Couldn’t shake that luxury hotel vibe, charging extra for little things. Found empty water bottles hiding under the bed, leaving a less-than-spotless first impression.

A mixed bag in Bordeaux

The friendly staff and underground parking were highlights, making our check-in smoother. The comfortable bed promised restful nights, and we enjoyed the spacious layout of our room.

However, the bathroom could use an upgrade—the shower leaked and compact space made it challenging. Breakfast was a letdown too, with lukewarm dishes and limited hot options.

The rooms are clean, large, and freshly decorated in a contemporary style. The breakfast was fantastic with great gluten and dairy-free options, and I loved that the kids ate free. Plus, secure underground parking made things easy for us!

The lack of lift access to the garage was a bit tricky.

The location near numerous wine shops is a great perk, letting you easily pick up some of the finest Bordeaux wines. The buffet breakfast offers a decent selection, providing a solid start to the day.

Parking is a hassle with limited options in front of the hotel, and you must check-in first to access the underground garage—a frustrating process. The elevators feel cramped and outdated, while the classic room I was in was rather pricey for what it delivered, lacking essentials like a minibar and proper glassware. The air conditioning didn't seem to be functional, leading to a stuffy night, and the bathroom's compactness was countered by a less-than-pleasant odor, which detracted from the overall comfort. Furthermore, the scrambled eggs at breakfast were subpar, hinting at a need for better quality control.

The room was super spacious with a huge, comfy bed that made it hard to get up in the morning. I loved chilling in the garden area, especially near the lovely fountain and enjoying some quiet moments. Just wish the Wi-Fi was a tad bit faster, but overall, it was a solid experience! 😊

The reception was effective, checked in quick and smooth. The room was spacious with an enormous bed, so comfy! I enjoyed the kettle in the room too, made coffee perfect for a late night chat.

It wasn't cheap, but acceptable for what you get.
